Weekly Cute Dentists for Dogs!

Ah yes, since the dawn of time our furry friends have fought us when going to the vet or the dentist, even when we tell them it’s healthy! Take a look at Meeka’s trip, and I’m sure you’ll see a little bit of your dog in her reactions. It’s obvious that dogs dislike being held down and prodded, especially in their mouths. This makes trips to the doggy dentist an absolute nightmare. To help your dog survive the dreaded trip, here are a few tips and tricks that we recommend trying!

First of all, pick a dentist or veterinarian you trust. If your dog is aggressive or flinches away from any touch, it may be a good idea to start looking for a new dentist.

If this is not an option, ask your vet what can be done to calm your dog down. Second, monitor your dog’s eating habits. This can prevent dental exams going much longer and can ultimately prevent dental problems in general! Finally, be sure to shower you dog with love, pets, and rewards when they get through with their dentist appointment. They made it through, so it’s time to celebrate!
